Every few years, we take the opportunity have a “Run in the Sun”; a foreign trip to somewhere nice to top up our tans and generally drink beer and eat food along the way. This year, we rode to Palma on the island of Mallorca, via lots of nice places along the way:

Our charity work last year.
Every year, we pick a good cause to support. Our charity fund raising last year was for Young Minds, a charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. We raised £2068 for them over the course of the year at our various events. Needless to say, they were very grateful for the donation and we are always grateful for the people who donate when we fund raise 🙂

At our recent AGM, out customary awards were made …
The Mick Savage award, for club person of the year, was awarded by club vote to Malcolm:
The young Alex memorial award, for outstanding work in catering, was awarded by the catering crew manager to Wiggle & Marina:
The Lee Slinger memorial award, for work at the GPO, was awarded by the rally sec to DM & Nicola:
Finally The committee’s choice award, in remembrance of fallen friends, was awarded to Matt for his hard work assisting with music at all club events and everything he does behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly:

Membership news again
Congratulations to Graz on receiving his 30 years membership patch and Maz on receiving her 10 year membership patch:
Hula Pet food run for our furry friends.
Since it was the first day of spring we did what we do best: ride our bikes and help someone out. On Sunday we collected a load of pet food together and had a run to a local animal shelter, HULA. We then did tea and cake at Castle Ashby; very civilised 🙂

Barrel Bikers vs Havoc Pool Night
Tonight we had a friendly pool competition against another local club we are friends with, Havoc Mcc. Unfortunately, we lost (4-7); however we did have a huge amount of fun:

At our Christmas party, we had a whip round and raised £100 for Hula, a local animal sanctuary. Webby, Duncan and Malcolm presented the much needed cash to them this week:
