Willen Hospice Lights of Love, December 2011:

Hi Everyone,

Before we close 2011 and move into 2012, I'd like to say a heartfelt thank you for your support over the past 12 months and without you Willen Hospice wouldn't have created MK's biggest girls night out!

Enjoy the Christmas holidays.

Willen Hospice Lights of Love, December 2011:

Hi Mole, Khaos, Katz, Simon & Jack,

I just wanted to say a massive personal thank you for coming along and helping at the Lights of Love this weekend, it was very cold and your help was very much appreciated by both myself and the events team.

Over the two days we were joined by over 1500 Hospice supporters who came to remember loved ones who will not be with us over the Christmas season. It is anticipated that the event raised more than £20,000 for the Hospice to ensure that we can continue to provide complex and individual care to adults with life limiting illnesses and support to their families and friends.

None of this would have been possible without your wonderful support so thank you for helping to make it happen.

I hope that we might be able to rely on your support for other events in the future? If you have any feedback about how your experience with us may have been improved please let me know.

With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

Kindest regards

National Road Rally, June 2011:

Hello Organisers,

Yet again the National Road Rally is over for another year and despite having virtually the same numbers of riders participating as last year everything went as well as it usually does.

That success depends on a lot of factors and one of the main ones is the hundreds of volunteers who give their time and energy to run the Controls, many of whom stay up all night. It would be impossible to run the Rally in its present popular form without their help; and, on behalf of the National Road Rally Committee and all the riders who took part this year, it is my pleasure to thank the Control organisers and their teams for their help in making it a great success. Please pass our comments on to your team with all our good wishes. It is still encouraging for the future of the Rally that so many people are willing to help.

There is a 'Best Control Award' decided by the participating riders on a percentage basis of all the riders visiting each control; this means it does not discriminate against a Control which has had few visitors. The result will be printed on the website when it is available.

Mencap have reported that many riders took up sponsorship again this year but as yet it is too soon to say how much they will collect. The final amount will eventually be on the website.

As you are all aware we had 6 Final Controls this year instead of just the one and whether this will continue depends on many factors. We will have to wait and see what response we get from the rider entrants and everyone else connected with the Rally. There were problems of which we are aware but until everyone gives their opinion any decision about Final Controls for next year will have to wait for the time being.

If you require any details regarding the awards and entries they will eventually be on the Rally website.

Once again, thank you for your superb efforts.

Because we have such a large number of people not only organising but staffing the Controls I am sure that many of you may have ideas to make the Rally even better.

For instance, is there anything else we can supply to each Control which can make your job easier? We cannot give a bike to everyone but there might be something you can think about. Is there anything you and your team can suggest to make the Rally more enjoyable - not only for the riders but for yourselves? The committee realise that without your help there would not be a Rally in its present form and you can see from the Controls this year we had six which were unmanned.

Despite the experience we have on the committee there must be more which can be done and I do ask that if any of you or your team can come up with an idea to improve things we will always discuss it at our meetings.

All the best, safe riding and have a great Christmas.
