In December 2009 both Elsie and David, the main organisers and runners of this charity, both died within a day or two of each other. The charity needed winding up, and the remaining money donated to the schools that Elsie and David were helping at the time of their passing. A BBQ was organised and was attended by a few Barrel members.
Thankyou to both Elsie and David for all the many hours and hard work that they put in making a few children's lives a bit brighter. You will both be missed by many people.
