| The BBB MCC was formed in 1979, by a small group of motorcyclists from various other Bike clubs in the Buckingham area. Now we have approximately 60 members, all coming from in and around the Milton Keynes area. This year, 2009, we are celebrating our 30th birthday, Happy Birthday to us!!
|
| The Club covers a whole range of motorcycle related interests, from Custom Bike Showing right through to Drag Racing. Our members ride all types of machine from Learner Legal Bikes, to Streetfighters, Trikes, and Classics. All riders and machines are welcome. Really we are a Club of friends who like to ride, help each other out and party together, no matter what we ride or how long we've ridden it.
|
| The Barrel Bikers Mcc meet every Wednesday night, now at our new home (Yes, another one!)The Bull, 64 High Street, Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK11 1AQ. We tend to start gathering from around 8pm until around closing time. Visitors and potential new members are always welcome to come along and meet us!

We hold four major events a year:

| The latest on Tinman that I have is that he's back on a main ward and is waiting on an op on his arm, they're hoping this will be before tomorrow. He sadly spent his birthday in hospital, but we'll save the celebrations til he's back in the fold. Hopefully soon he will be able to be moved to Northampton, will let you know when I do, just so we can get a few more visitors to see him. Malcolm had a bit of a scare and went back to hospital for another scan, but all came back clear, so Malcolm is ok, bruised, battered, and banged about, but ok. Get well soon guys! Togfest went well last Saturday, with us raising approx £70 for the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance. I must say a big thankyou to all those generous people out there who made donations on the day, thankyou all! |

| Yesterday I had a message from Malcolm saying that there was a problem on the way up to the Farmyard Rally today. It seems that the run, led by Malcolm, closely followed by Tinman on the trike, was following a stream of cars when they started slowing down due to someone pulling out in front. Malcolm started to slow down, but Tinman didn’t slow down quick enough. They hit each other, and both came off. Malcolm is ok, very bruised and extreamly sore in places, but Tinman wasn’t quite so lucky. He’s broken all of his ribs, punctured both lungs, has sommit wrong with his spleen, and has his left arm in plaster, but he is breathing unaided, altho he's finding it difficult. Apparently they’re trying some keyhole surgery on his spleen first, but if it’s unsuccessful they will have to open him up. He is still in intensive care, in a hospital in Nottingham. Apparently both the VFR and Tinman’s trike are both write offs. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Tinman and Malcolm the speediest of recoveries, get well soon guys! |

![]() | Well, finally I get 5 minutes to hit the computer! Tay's benefit gig was a huge success, many thanks to everyone who helped organise it, worked on the night, and everyone who turned up! We raised just over £800 for Tay, just to help him out while he can't work, the drinks are on Tay! Also the BMF went very well this year, probably due to certain members not attending this year, only kidding! ;o) The stand looked amazing especialy with our wonderful new art work created at the GPO 08. Photos to be up online asap. We came 9th in the judging of the stand, so well done all involved with the stand this year! The invites for the Custom Show and the GPO Rally 2009 are up online, vist them by clicking HERE.

![]() | Ok, I'm back online, well until Sky change their minds again! In the time I have been away, one of our club members, Tay, got badly beaten for protecting a young lady who was getting molested by a middle aged man in a pub. He got severly beaten up by the guys friends/sons, so bad they smashed his eye socket. Being a lorry driver, this really affects his ability to work, so we have planned a Benefit Gig for him to try and raise some money so he can survive before returning to work. An update on his condition yesterday was he saw the head injury consultant at Milton Keynes General and explained to him that he still unsteady on his feet and is suffering head aches, forgetfulness and confusion. The consultant has explained that with trauma this is to be expected ,but cannot give an accurate date as to when he can resume work . It all depends how quickly the brain heals itself. We all wish him a speedy recovery! Details of the Benefit Gig are as follows: It's on the 25th April, at the Barrels new home, at the Bull in Stony Stratford (The Bull, 64 High Street, Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK11 1AQ). The Moles, the newly reformed local rock heros, will be playing live! It's only £5 to get in, and ALL proceeds from the raffle & door will be going directly to Tay and his family. | Associate Members, Pre-Proposed members, Proposed Members & Full Members Our next EGM will be held on Wednesday 18th March, at The Bull, Stony Stratford, 8pm for 8.30pm start. Only Full Members have voting rights, but we want your opinions too! Non-Club Members will be asked to wait in the main bar at The Bull. Be there or be square! I have updated a couple of the picture galleries with pictures from the Club Members Christmas Meal, and The Late Christmas Party. I need more pictures! Please? We have now confirmed the new dates for the Firkin 'O' Bitter - Take 2, and it will now be held on the 6th, 7th, & 8th March, same excellent country pub as before, but hopefully, minus the snow! All tickets already sold will be valid, but any problems or worries contact Tim, his details are on the flyer here. Again we apologise for any hassle, but we hope to see you next month! |

| The Firkin 'O' Bitter Update!! |

| Snow Update & The Firkin! POSTPONED!! The weather has finally beaten us. Tim has been out and had a look at the roads in the area, and they're impassable to a 4x4 let alone bikes! This is not an easy decision to have made, but a very wise one. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused, and will be re-arranging the rally for next month, exact dates as of yet unconfirmed. If you have tickets and want more info please do not hesitate to contact Tim (details on the flyer). Again we apologise for any hassle, but we hope to see you next month! |

| Snow Update & The Firkin! Anyone heading to our little shin dig this weekend, will be pleased to hear that the event is still on, a little snow doesn't stop us! But some of the roads around the village of Beachampton are a little dangerous to say the least. If you come into Beachampton from the Stony Stratford bypass apparently it has been reasonably well gritted, and Mole will signpost that route for you all to follow. Good luck, safe journey and we look forward to greeting you all tomorrow and Saturday!! |

| I've updated a few events on the events list, if you have any events that you want to advertise, please visit the events page and email me! And Club Members please, if there's events missing, please email me with details so I can get them up online, gone are the days where I can sit in front of my computer and just search the web for events! Also if you have any pictures from recent events, and you would like to maybe see some of them online, please send them to me! Coming up we have the Firkin O Bitter Trad Rally, visit the Invite by clicking HERE. Tickets for the Firkin are either available through Tim via the address on the invite, the Firkin has a tendancy to sell out quickly, and we are restricted to 100 people, so book your tickets asap! |

![]() | For those who don't know, yesterday Phill & I had to travel to the Royal Courts of Justice in London as Unurtugs Gunaajav, the driver who killed Young Alex, had appealed against his conviction and sentence. I am very sad to report that his appeal was allowed, and his conviction was found to be unsafe. This is down to something that the Judge said to the Jury before they retired. We have been granted leave for a retrial. I won't go into detail, as I don't want to influence, spoil or cause problems for any retrial that will go ahead. So now as I type, Unurtugs Gunaajav is out on bail somewhere in Milton Keynes, so please be careful out there. On a brighter note, it's the Late Christmas Party tonight, at the Cruck Barn, Bradwell Abbey, The Peartree Bridge Family are playing and it's only £5 entry, so lets party on and have a few beers! |

![]() | I have just found out that Steve's funeral will be held at 2pm at the Crematoriam in Milton Keynes on Friday 23rd Jan, and afterwards at the Con. Club in Deanshanger. I have no details as of yet for the run, but will keep you posted. |

![]() | I have to use this space once again to pass on some sad news to you all. The ex Landlord of the Greyhound where we used to meet, Steve, died suddenly yesterday. I don't have any more information at this time, but promise to keep everyone informed. The Barrel Bikers, and myself would like to pass on our sincerest condolences to Steve's family in this dark time for all. Our thoughts are with you. Steve will be sadly missed, he was always welcoming to us and our friends, and even put up with our food fights at our christmas meals! Rest in Peace Steve. |

| Following a hugely successful EGM meeting last night, the Barrel Bikers Mcc have again moved home! We will now be meeting at The Bull, 64 High Street, Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK11 1AQ. We meet in a seperate bar from the main pub, out the back, apparently it used to be years ago a folk club, and more recently a Mexican restaurant. We still meet from approx 8pm onwards on a Wednesday night, all visitors and potential members welcome! ![]() ![]() ![]() | Wow! What a busy month! We've had people ride out to Faro, Portugal, we had members fly out to Faro, we had the Custom Show (and what a day that was!), and quite a few of us are now recovering from a long weekend in Cornwall for our newest member's, Big John, birthday and wedding! Congratulations John & Sue! Penny & Yogi's run to Faro went well, with no misshaps, and was enjoyed by all. Big John's Stag Night/Weekend at Faro was amazing, according the the few who can remember! I think the only injury was earnt by Big John launching himself into his tent and forgetting to catch himself with his hands, and so met the very hard, dried out ground with his nose! The Custom Show was amazing! Thanks must go to all who turned up, including all the Barrel Members, and white T-shirts (all of whom worked their arses off!). It was the hottest day of the year so far, and I think half of the world turned up for a visit! It was amazing to see the variety of people coming to look at the fantastic array of shiny (and not so shiny) bikes, thankyou to everyone! Hope to see you all again next year! Then last but not least, this weekend in Cornwall. Some travelled down early morning on last Thursday as to meet up with Big John and party to celebrate his birthday. Others caught up and arrived on Saturday, and myself and Phill who arrived just in time to follow the awsome Wedding Procession heading to the Hotel on Sunday. It was an amazing day, (weekend for some, altho apparently some headaches seemed to roll into one!), what with the bikes and trikes bringing the town of Newquay to a halt, the gorgeous ceremony, and the huge party with The Peartree Family in the evening, a fantastic time was had by all! A huge thankyou must got to new member Big John and his new wife Sue for their hospitality over the whole weekend! Thanks guys! Call to Club Members.... If you have any photo's from the Custom Show, Faro, BMF, and Cornwall you wouldn't mind seeing online, give me a shout, and I can then add them to a slow grwoing pile! Think that's all for now! Zena |

| Last night, I believe, at the top end of the A5, Mike from Cernunnos MCC had an accident. According to his son Matt, Mike is ok, bruised and has a possible large haematoma in his groin. They kept him in Ward 3 overnight, but as to if he's still there or not I don't know. I would like to wish him a very speedy recovery from myself and the Barrel Bikers. Get Well Soon Mike!! The invite for this years GPO Rally, is now online! Visit the Invite & the Custom Show on the 27th July, visit the Invite Here. |

![]() | Another BMF Rally over with, the weather was rough on Saturday, but at least it was mainly dry on Sunday! Set up and breakdown went reasonably smoothly, and apart from one sticky moment (I'll let the grapevine tell you about that one!) I think all went well. I would like to take the chance to thank Mole & James for taking over at the David Cooper Memorial Stand so Phill & I could get lunch, and I would also like to thank all the Barrel members that bothered to turn out and help, beit at the lockup or on site. The invite for this years GPO Rally, is now online! Visit the Invite & the Custom Show on the 27th July, visit the Invite Here. |

| Well last night was our AGM, thankyou to everyone who turned up and gave their opinion. The committee stayed the same, not quite sure why, whether it's cos the club think we're doing a good job, or if no one else wants to do the bloody jobs! All in all a good meeting was had by all, I think! Thanks again for such a good turnout. The invite for this years GPO Rally, is now online! | Wow! Thankyou all so much for turning out and helping us to celebrate Alex's life, and party like it was the end of the world! It was an amazing night! I believe there are still people 'getting over it'! Thankyou all once again! Hopefully I'll get the photo's up online very soon! On Monday the 21st April, Gunaajav Unurtugs, of St Georges St, Wolverton, was sentanced to 4 years, 2 years inside and 2 years on licence. He also got a 3 year driving ban which will start when he's released on licence, 9 points on his licence and he will have to take the extended test. It may not sound much, but when everybody 'in the know' reckoned about 18 months to 2 years, it's blinding! I would like to take this chance to thank everybody who has supported us, helped us and managed to escort us through the past year, it's been a shitty one, but hopefully we're on the other side now. The Police, Dave, Ray, and Andy have all been fantastic and did a wonderful job bringing the case to Crown Court, and finally getting a good conviction from such a tragedy. So a massive thankyou must go to them, thanks guys! Remember, it's the Into the Valley Rally next weekend, you should all have your tickets, but there are 3 for sale if anyone wants them. Give myself or Yogi a shout. **AGM NOTICE** The invite for this years Custom & Classic, Bike & Trike show, is now online! Visit the Invite. |

| Well, the court case against the driver who killed Young Alex is now over. We attended 3 days of court, which was a total emotional rollercoaster, and after 4 hours of deliberation, the jury (majority vote) found Gunaajav Unurtugs, a trapeze artist (not taxi driver!) originally from Mongolia, guilty of causing death by dangerous driving. Sentencing will be on the 21st April, hopefully there will be a custodial sentance passed! Phill, Mole, James and myself would like to again thank everyone who has supported us through this shitty year, without all your support, help, txt's, emails and phone calls, I don't think we could have faced it all so well, so thankyou all. This brings me on nicely to remind everyone that the Memorial Party for Alex is on the 19th April, we've now got sommit to celebrate!! Everybody who knows us or Alex is welcome! | One of our members returned home from holiday to find that his partners car had been broken into, moved away from the garage, dumped in the middle of the road, and his bike was taken from his garage. He lives on Heelands, and apparently this has happened before in roughly the same area. Please be warned that there is a gang out there doing this, so keep an eye on your garages. The details of the bike that was stolen are: Model Type:Yamaha YZF-R6 Anyone with info, please contact me through the website, and I'll forward it onto Stuart. | Well, Paula & Mick tied the knot this past weekend (sorry I missed it, but a buggered wrist and stinking cold kept me away!), also, we had another wedding within the club recently, Cliff & Janette, Congratulations to you all! Back at the Plough after Paula & Micks ceremony, Mona collapsed with chest pains, Penny rushed him and Karen to hospital, where it was confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack. He was in hospital for a few days, but is back home now, and doing well. I think he's looking at a lifestyle change! Good luck Mona, and Get Well Soon! We miss you! (I'm sure I'll regret that last comment!) Preparations are in full flow for the Private Club Members Party for the 15th December, more details will follow, but mostly this will be discussed at our meetings. Now, when I say it's a 'closed meeting', I mean that the Barrel Bikers MCC EGM is closed to non members, I am NOT saying that the whole pub will be closed, just the meeting. All visitors, partners etc will be asked to occupy the other bar. If that's all clear, I'll move on..only full members have voting rights, but as an associate, proposed or pre-proposal member you have the right to have your say, so please, if you have any ideas, thoughts or criticisms, please let us know. Photos will be added to the site just as soon as I get time, or when I stop pouring liquids over my laptop!! Won't be long, promise!! |

Otter from the Cernunnos Mcc emailed me this morning with the details of Harley Steve's funeral. It is to be held on Monday 8th October. This Friday, Frank, of the BTW, long term supporter and close friend of the Barrel, is due to have a serious operation at Stoke Mandeville this Friday. I, on behalf of the Barrel Bikers would like to wish him well, and a highly speedy recovery ready for the GPO! Next weekend (5th, 6th & 7th) is our GPO Rally. Finally I'm back online, and up and running again, but sadly to pass on some very sad news. Harley Steve from the Cernunnos MCC died on Sunday morning (23rd September). At the beginning of the month Steve had gone to hospital for a planned heart operation that would've brought some relief from the chest pains that he had been suffering. Unfortunately he suffered a stroke after the operation and never regained consciousness. On behalf of the Barrel Bikers I would like to express our sincere condolences to the Cernunnos Mcc and Steve's family. R.I.P. Steve. One final reminder that the GPO Rally is under 2 weeks away, Click for Invite. Please contact Tim for more info (phone numbers & email on the invite). |

| A final reminder that it's our EGM tonight, held at the Plough, 8pm for 8.30 start. Remember it's a closed meeting (ie if you're not a full member, associate member, proposed member, or pre-proposal member, then you WILL be asked to leave). Only full members have voting rights, but as an associate, proposed or pre-proposal member you have the right to have your say. If you haven't had your memorial patches yet, please contact me (Zena) and I'll sort it asap. For club members (inc proposed and pre-proposal) you will get one of each patch free of charge. Non members, associate members and extra patches for members will all be charged at cost price of £1.50. See you all tonight!! |

| Ok, it's been a long time coming, but I've finally managed to get all the photographs from June to present up online! Visit them by clicking HERE. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the Barrel, family and friends who turned out for the Family Fun Day at the Furzton 2 for 1 restaurant. It was a good day, despite the weather, and at first count they think they have raised £550 towards a memorial bench for Alex, well done all! On a sadder note, Webby & Unibond have had one set of 16" Ford Escort alloys, and one set of 15" Ford Granada Alloys stolen from Fullers Slade on Friday 17th August. If anyone gets offered cheap alloys or knows anything, please email me at zena@badzena.com, and I'll pass it on. |

| Well, Colgate's funeral went very well, and I am passing on thanks from Sandra & the NCC for all the hard work the Barrel put into marshalling the cortage. It's at time like these that it makes me proud to be a long standing member of the Barrel Bikers. Thankyou again to everyone who marshalled and attended the cortage. Well done. |

| A reminder that it's Colegates funeral tomorrow. If you are intending to be on Dave's last ride, please meet at the end of the Cul de Sac at Weavers Hill, Fullers Slade, MK11 2BN, for a 10.30 leave. We will head onto Crown Hill Crematorium for a 11.30am service. Afterwards it's then on to the Plough. Another piece of news is that the Crazy Diamonds MCC Tossin the Slipper Rally has had to have a change of Venue from the Hollowell Steam Rally Field, to Cogenhoe Football Club, just off the A428 Bedford Rd, nr Brayfield (where they Crazy Diamonds have hosted many a stonking rock night). This is due to the Foot and Mouth scare. Sadly there has to be some compromise, and they are now sadly unable to host a live band on Saturday night (due to licences etc). But I am assured that all will recieve, the now famous, 'Crazy Diamond MCC welcome & an excellent party atmosphere!'. |

| First the details of Colegates funeral are: The funeral will take place at 11:30 at Crown Hill Crematorium on Wednesday 8th August. The hearse will be taking Dave to Crown Hill from outside 60 Weavers Hill, Fullers Slade, Milton Keynes, MK11 2BN. I would ask that we meet at the end of the Cull de Sac at this address at 10:30. There will be a Wake at the Plough Pub in Water Eaton following the Service. |

| I can't believe I'm doing this again, but I have to break more bad news to you all. Colgate, NCC Bucks, was travelling home from Pig's funeral yesterday in his Suzi Jeep, when he was involved in a serious car accident. Colgate had to be airlifted straight to the John Radcliffe in Oxford. Unfortunately he didn't make it through the operation, and died last night at 11pm. Colgate was a good friend, a highly active and valued, ex member of the Barrel, before he moved on and joined NCC Bucks. He has always looked out for the Barrel, and has helped us in many of our 'sticky' periods. The Barrel Bikers & myself would like to express our deepest and sincerest condolences to Sandra, Colgates family, friends and all his NCC Brothers. Ride Forever Free, & Thankyou Colgate!! |

| This morning I recieved 2 pieces of bad news. Firstly, Pig from the Tribal Gypsies MC died last night after suffering from a heart attack. I would like to express our condolences to the Tribal Gypsies MC and to Pig's family at this hard time. Secondly I recieved this email below: Hi to all at Barrel Bikers Thanks I would like to express our sincerest condolences to Jes's friends and family. Ride Free Jes! |

| For the run to Colin's Brother, Graham's, funeral Jackie & Penny are meeting up on Tuesday, so if you want someone to ride with, be at the Plough no later than 11.30am. The DCMR run this coming Saturday, is desparatly short of solo marshalls. For anyone that doesn't know, the run involves taking some Autistic and Downs kids for a day out in sidecars and on trikes. We are always short of Trikes and Outfits but we also need loads of solo bike riders to marshall the run. The run meets at Over Whitacre, a small village near Coleshill, at between 8.30am and 9.30am on Saturday, going to an attraction called Bonkers (it involves a boat trip for everybody and a furnace museum). All entries are free and there is a free lunch and tea for all riders and marshalls. There is free camping available from the Friday untill the Sunday at the hall, so all you have to provide is your own gas. Mole will be travelling up Friday after work if anybody fancies coming along for the ride (Email Mole for more details.) Don't forget the Custom Show is fast approaching, 5th August, at the Cruck Barn. It's free entry, and open from 11am - 4pm. There will be trade stands, bouncy castle, bar, ice cream van, excellent food, dj, helmet park, awards etc. Click Here for invite. |

| Graham's funeral will be at Harwood Crematorium, Stevenage, Herts. The cortage will leave the house at 2:40, so if anyone wishes to follow, meet at the petrol station at Pin Green, Martins Way (SG1 5 postcode) for 2:30pm. The cortage will be lead by myself on the harley, followed by the trike hearse as used at Alex's funeral. |

| I recieved a very sad email last night from Colin H, to say that his Brother Graham had died that morning. He had collapsed at work on Tuesday, and was diagnosed with having a bleed on the brain. Graham attended our rallies and events with gusto and imagination (invariably being one of the last out of the pub at the Firkin!), and was always ready with a smile and a joke. He was due to be married in 2 weeks time. On behalf of the Barrel Bikers, we would like to express our deepest condolences to Colin, Maggie, Ginger, Graham's Fiancee, and all the family. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time. Maggie has promised me that she'll contact me further with details of his funeral when she has them, but right now it looks like it will take place in Stevenage. I will post details here as soon as I have them. |

| **Wanted Cheap/Free CX Parts!** Webby is after any CX parts that you may have and don't want anymore. Especially she would love to be able to find a carb inlet rubber, as cheap as possible! If you have any CX bits, please contact Webby by emailing her at Jen_Raven7@Yahoo.co.uk. |

| Well, finally I've managed to put up the pictures & video from Alex's funeral, sorry it took so long, but it wasn't the easiest thing I've ever put up online, thankyou for bearing with me! See Alex's page by clicking Here. I've also added a couple of new pages, and some more events to the events pages. |

| The GPO invite has now been put up online, visit by clicking HERE. I've also added some pictures from Jackie's Birthday Party. Enjoy! |

| Just a quickie...I've uploaded the Photographs & Video from Oily's Funeral, Click Here to view. Cheers (for now)! |

| Just a quickie...I've now managed to get the members page up to date now. I think they're all there! If you can't see a picture of yourself/your bike, that'll be that I haven't found one, so if you have a picture of yourself and/or your bike that you'd like me to use, please send it to me! Cheers (for now)! |

| First I would (belatedly) like to thank/congratulate/comiserate with the new Committee and Officials who were voted in at the AGM, thankyou/well done/oh dear to you all! I also would like to apologise to everyone, as I haven't yet gotten the members page of the site fully up to date yet, but I am working on it! What with an 'eeby greeby' on a computer, and silly little errors and games getting in the way, it's taken a whole lot longer than planned, sorry!. Next, I would like to offer congratulations on behalf of myself and the club to Paula and Mick, who got themselves engaged a while ago, good luck guys!! It's nice to be able to share some good news for a change. And lastly, I have managed to wade through the photo's from the BMF, Click Here to check them out. I'm sure I've forgotten something, but that's nothing new! Cheers (for now)! |

| A Thankyou... Just a few words of thanks to all that attended Steve's (Oily's) funeral on Thursday 17th May, Steves (Oily's) family where overwelmed with the number of people, as we where that attended to pay there last respects, not only from the biking community but also from the martial arts! Sleep well brother! Lee |

| The IOW pictures are now online!!! Click here to have a look! The AGM is this Wednesday, 16th May 2007, to be held at The Plough. Club Members, Associate Members & Proposed Members ONLY are able to attend (no wives, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, sheep or even Bunnies etc). Proposals & Associates are able to attend but not vote, but Proposals & Associates are welcome to express their views to the club. As a Full Club Member, this is your chance to air your views and to change the committee, maybe even stand for a job yourself! Your newsletter was your ONLY official notification, so please don't forget!! We usually welcome visitors on our club nights, but this Wednesday we ask, politely, for any non-members not to visit. This Thursday is Oily's Funeral, for those attending, below I have reproduced the details of where and when to meet, as given to us by the Tribal Gypsies mc.
The courtage will leave from Steve's home in Pennylands Milton keynes. This is a cul-de-sac and would make it difficult for bikes, cars and hearse. We also think this is a time for his family and close friends. The nearest open space is at the Ship a shore pub at Willen on Monks way H3/V10, we would graciously ask you to arrive there at 11.00 to 11.15 ready to leave at 11.30
there will be a member there to arrange departure. The courtage will leave Pennylands and collect mourners from Willen.
The courtage will then proceed to Olney Green burial site on Yardley road, Olney. This was Steve's wish to be buried in a green site. Respects Tribal Gypsies mc Don't forget this weekend is the BMF. We will be having our usual club stand. For tickets, and more info contact Mole. As far as I know, so far, myself, Phill & Taz will be heading over there on Friday morning, to start the set up. The more people the merrier! As for where we will meet, and when, I don't know yet, but contact me after Wednesday night and I should know by then.

| Alot of things to say today, and I apologise for the lateness. Firstly, I have to thank every single person who turned out and made Tuesday such a fantastic send off for our Alex. I'm sure he would have been so proud of you all. It was a good day, with mixed emotions, but words cannot express how blown away myself and Phill were, thankyou so much! We have to mention a few people who really deserve all the thanks in the world, Yogi, Mole, Penny, Frank, Lorraine, Leigh, Mona, & Jane. We cannot ever thank you guys enough, for you all played your own part in making the day such a fantastic one, and took a hell of alot of thought and work away from us, thankyou all! Visit an online slideshow of Tuesday by Clicking Here.
View & Sign our book of condolence On another sad note, for those of you who don't know Oily passed away on the 27th April. Our sincere thoughts and condolences go to all his family and friends. We have recieved an email from Oily's partner, Miranda: Hello I have left out Miranda's email address, but if you want to contact her, drop me an email and I'll pass on her address. The date of our Annual AGM, Wednesday 16th May 2007, to be held at The Plough. Your newsletter is your ONLY official notification, so please don't forget!! I think that's all for now, apart from to say thankyou to you all again, and for those on the IOW, have a good one!! Details of Alex's Funeral It will be this Tuesday, 1st May. The procession is meeting from midday onwards at The Plough, Water Eaton. Click here for map of The Plough. If you would like to be part of the procession, please be at The Plough for no later than 1pm, as we are planning to leave at 1.15. For those of you who want to meet us at the cemetary, the service will start at 2pm. Click here for map of The New Bradwell Cemetery. The Committal will be at 3pm. Afterwards, it's back down the Plough for a huge celebration of Alex's life. Again, I would like to thank everybody who has supported us at this time, and I hope you all can make it on Tuesday. Zena |

CHANGE IN TIMES!!! 3pm IS THE COMMITTAL TIME, THE TIME OF THE START OF THE SERVICE WILL BE 2PM. STILL UNSURE TO THE TIME TO LEAVE THE PLOUGH, SO STILL ARRIVE AT THE PLOUGH FOR MIDDAY, BUT WE MUST BE AT THE CEMETERY FOR 2PM. We have started arrangements for Alex's funeral. The definate facts are that it will be on Tuesday 1st May, at 3pm at the New Bradwell Cemetary. We will be leaving from The Plough, Water Eaton, but as of yet we are unsure of the exact leaving time (due to route, permissions etc), so be at The Plough for midday. The 'service' will be a civil ceremony, conducted by a Celebrant. This hopefully will take place in a marquee at the Cemetary, but again, this is awaiting the correct permissions. As soon as I get any more information, I'll put it up here asap. Afterwards it's a return to The Plough to celebrate Alex's life & loves (and there were a few of them!). We do ask that for the funeral that it's family flowers only, and donations will go to the David Cooper Memorial Run. The Funeral Directors have started an account so all donations will be handled by them. Myself, Phill, James & Mole again want to thank everyone for their support and kindness over the last week, we don't know what we would have done with out you all. Thankyou all! |

Ok, again this is quite hard for me to do, but both myself, Phil, Mole and Liz would like to thank everybody who turned up on Saturday night at the Plough. It was a great comfort to us all to see so many people who knew, and respected Alex, oh and to hear what he got up to when our backs were turned! It was a fantastic night, thankyou all so much. Special thanks must go to Frank & Lorraine Fox and the BTW, Yogi, Jok, Marith & Stuart, Penny, Mole, and the Bar Staff at The Plough. You did so much for us, thankyou! On a more positive note, that evening we managed to raise £550 to go to the David Cooper Memorial Fund. Alex enjoyed so much marshalling these runs, he did look forward so much to doing it, so Phill feels that Alex would want to support Elsie at this time. Also Phill & I would like to thank everyone for their fantastic words in the book of condolence (below), they have been a huge comfort to us, thankyou. Again, as soon as we know any details of his funeral, I will post here as soon as possible, so please keep an eye. |

This is probably the hardest thing I've ever ever had to post here, but yesterday, Young Alex died after a terrible road accident. All witnesses have said Alex was doing everything properly and correctly. His pillion passenger, better known to us as Jo Jo suffered leg injuries, how serious I don't know right now, sorry. Phill and I are both in pieces but have been overwhelmed by all the good wishes and offers of support at this vicious time for us. We want to thankyou all, each and every one of you. Saturday night we still plan to be at The Plough for the The Peartree Bridge Family, as it's my birthday and probably the best time to meet up with everyone, so please if you know Alex, Phill or myself, you will be more than welcome to visit us there. Also our door at home is always open, so if you feel you need to just come and sit and try and make sense of it all, please do come round, if you don't know where we are please ring 07803 600646. I'm sorry if my words aren't quite what they should be, but as you can imagine this is very difficult for me, as it is for all of us. Below I have restarted the guestbook as a book of condolence, so if you have anything you want to share, then please do. Sorry, can't cope with anymore, will update with any arrangements. |

| Hi All! Hope everyone had a good easter! I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Havoc Mcc on their successful Easter Egg Run & Custom Show this Saturday just gone. I would also like to thank them for the following email that was sent to us: Hi all It seems that the Barrel (Tim & Rab) won most of the show awards, apart from our long term friend Scruffy Pete who won Best Classic, well done everyone! I've also added photographs from Tinkerbell's 21st (Sorry Tinkerbell, but I bet you still get asked for ID in pubs!) last Wednesday (Thankyou to Tinkerbell's Mum & Dad, and Pixie (little Sam) for putting on a great party! And a massive thanks goes to Peartree for putting on a great gig!), and I've added the photo's (what few of them I have) from Havoc's do last Saturday. View them both by clicking HERE. | Just another quick update to the site, I've updated the events page and have added Havoc Mcc's website to the club links page. I'm waiting on a few pictures to complete the collection of Firkin photo's, so as soon as Unibond gets a disk to me (nudge, nudge) I'll get the pics up online. Zena |

| Just a quick update to the site, I've updated the members page. For all those on that page who haven't got a photo of themselves or their bikes, if you get a picture of you and your bike to me and I'll get it up online. Zena |

| HAPPY 50th MOLE! Well, if you're reading this then it means I'm finally back online, whoopeedoooo! Yay!!! While I've been off sick, I haven't (contary to popular belief) been just sat on my arse doing nowt, I've been sat on my arse updating the website!! You now have the GPO pictures, Club members party pictures, Club Xmas meal pictures and the Late Christmas Party pictures all up online for your perusal! Visit them by clicking here. I apologise in advance for not being at the Firkin, but I have been waiting for this op for in excess of 3 years, and have already had one cancelled! For all those there at the weekend, have a blinding time, and if you don't it's nowt to do with me, I weren't there! This is also my last rally, as in May I will be standing down from the Rally Sec's job and there's a Rally Crew taking over, so I would like to wish them all the very best for all their future rallyies. Ok, better now go and set up wireless internet so you can all eventually read this! Cheers! |

| Ok, berate me, but it's taken me longer to recover from the GPO than expected, sorry! But in that time I have moved house, was working 50 hours plus a week, and generally trying to keep on top of this festive(?) time of year! But I'm slowly working on catching up with putting what photo's I have online, but as of yet I still am without internet connection, so I have to upload when and where I can! Anyrate, today I've put up online the invites for the Late Christmas Party, and the Firkin O Bitter, you can visit them by clicking Here. I've had a play with The Plough's Website (the new home of the Barrel) and have added a message board, with a section specifically for The Barrel Bikers, but everyone is welcome to visit and post messages. Visit the Plough's website by clicking Here. Looking further down the news page, I notice that I haven't updated everyone on how Pizza Tony (MZ Tony) is. Sadly following his heart bypass operation he had a stroke. He's ok, still the old Tony we all know and love, but he has a few other health problems to deal with now. If anyone out there knows him and could visit, he does like to see people, but can only manage a short period before getting tired, so if you want to pop round to see him, give him and Gill a ring first. I know all the Barrel and his close friends all wish him the best and a speedy recovery (he's talking about driving the pig, and not only that, but he's talking about buying a caravan to tow behind it! Taz (for safety) has removed the battery, just in case!) I think all that is left right now is for me to appologise again for the lateness of any updates, and to wish each and everyone of you a bloody good Christmas and a stonking New Year! Zena |

| Ok, another stonking GPO Rally has passed, can I go recover now please? The Barrel Bikers have now moved!! We are now meeting every Wednesday night at The Plough, Water Eaton, Bletchley. Visit StreetMap.co.uk map by clicking Here. The Plough is the newest Live Music venue in the Milton Keynes area, and every Friday night there's DJ Sneaky Pete, and every Saturday night there's live music. Visit the Plough's website by clicking Here. |

| Today I've corrected the page from the Moo Rally this year, so the video will now download and work properly, sorry! I've also added pictures from Janes Hula/pirate party, and Pups in the Park. When I've collected the last of the pictures from the Custom Show, I'll also add them to the gallery. To visit the pictures click HERE. I've also updated our Events page with all the dates for Bands etc happening at The Plough, for more details, please contact Jane. Again, we still have some GPO tickets left, so if you haven't got yours already, visit the invite, send your cheque/PO off to Zena asap! Message to Club Members/Life Members/Proposed Members/Associate Members Don't forget tonight we're meeting over at the Tribal Gypsies Clubhouse in Buckingham. For more details contact Mole, Zena or Yogi. There is a run leaving from the Greyhound at approx 7.30pm, or if you can't make that, make your way to the Clubhouse, and we'll meet you there!! |

| I've added a new page to the website, a 'For Sale' page. At the moment displayed are Tod's bundle of new and used bike gear, but if any Barrel Member (full, associate, life, proposed) wants anything listed, then please contact me, Zena, with the details. Sadly our move to our new pub has been put back a week or so, but keep visiting this news section for more details. GPO tickets are selling well, but we do have plenty left at the moment, so visit the Invite, send your chq and SAE off to Zena, and by return your requested tickets will be winging their way to you, before we sell out! If anyone has any more pictures from the Tossin' the Slipper, the Custom Show, or anywhere where you've been as a member of the club, can you drop them onto disk and get them to me please? As soon as I have enough usable pictures of each event, I will endevour to put them up online as soon as humanly possible! Also this weekend the Barrel Bikers are having a stand at the 'Pups in the Park', the 75th Anniversary of the Guide Dogs for the Blind, at Campbell Park. We need club members both on the Saturday and Sunday to be around the stand with their bikes so we can put on a good show. Unfortunately, Yogi, Mona, and myself (Zena) are all unable to attend on the Saturday due to work and family commitments, but we will be there on Sunday. The Guide Dogs for the Blind have been the charity we have been raising money for all year, and at some point over the weekend Peanut and Yeoman will be presenting our cheque to them. So please, lets have a good turnout! |

| On a sad note, for those of you who know our Pizza Tony (MZ Tony) he's in hospital awaiting a procedure in Oxford. I know I wish him all the best, and I'm sure all those of you out there who know him wish him well too. Get well Tony!! Last night was our EGM, thankyou to all who attended and put their opinions accross. It was at this meeting that the Barrel Bikers Mcc have now decided the time is right to move pubs, having out grown the Greyhound. Within the next month or so, we will be moving, so watch this space for more details (and maps) on where we are moving to! But for the next few weeks we will be found every Wednesday at The Greyhound in Haversham (see above for maps and details), everyone is still welcome to visit! GPO tickets are selling well, but we do have plenty left at the moment, so visit the Invite, send your chq and SAE off to Zena, and by return your requested tickets will be winging their way to you, before we sell out! |

| Wow! What a day Sunday was! Fantastic weather, and fantastic company! Thankyou to everyone who turned up, a massive thankyou to all Barrel members who turned up to help out, and a huge yaboo sucks to the Barrel members who didn't turn up or did turn up and didn't do anything, you know who you are! GPO tickets are selling well, but we do have plenty left at the moment, so visit the Invite, send your chq and SAE off to Zena, and by return your requested tickets will be winging their way to you, before we sell out! Message to Club Members/Life Members/Proposed Members/Associate Members The EGM will be held on the 15th August at the Bull and Butcher, Fenny Stratford, 8pm for 8.30pm start. This is for all Club members, Full, Proposed, Life and Associate. Only Full and Life members have voting rights but everybody can have a say. At this meeting we will be discussing what happened on Sunday at the Custom Show, and also we will be discussing our move and where we want to go. |

| **Custom Show** **Custom Show** **Custom Show** This Sunday the Barrel Bikers are holding their 12+1th Custom n Classic Bike & Trike Show. Everyone is welcome, free entry for bikes into the show, and free entry to all visitors. There'll be some custom cars to look at, and loads of custom, shiny and not so shiny bikes to look at, trade stands, ice cream van, bouncy castle for the kids, the bar for the adults, good food, charity Scalextric competition, charity Raffle, and loads of things happening from 11am to 4pm at the Cruk Barn, Bradwell Abbey, Milton Keynes. Visit the online invite by clickinghere. Message to ALL Barrel Members, Associate Members and Proposed Members!! We need people from 9am on Sunday morning right through until approx 5pm in the afternoon. As the rota's have a lot of holes for different jobs, you will be asked to work and help out, even tho you may have already done an hour on the rota somewhere, this doesn't exclude you from being asked to help some more. This is part and parcel of being and becoming a member of the Barrel Bikers. Pray for good weather, and I'll see you Sunday! |

| Finally, I've managed to find enough time to edit and code the pictures from the Moo Rally 2006, yay! Visit them Here. Also, just to let everyone know, the tickets for the GPO Rally are now on sale! Visit the invite by clicking here. |

| Last night we met at the Plough in Water Eaton. Wow! What a night! I don't think I've seen that many club members all in one place before! It was great to see everyone! On a different note, I've updated some events on our events pages, and in the very near future (hopefully today or tomorrow) I will be adding the pictures (and video's) from the Moo Rally last weekend, you lot certainly know how to enjoy yourselves! |

| Message to all Club Members/Associate Members/Proposals and visitors! Wednesday 21st June we will not be meeting at the Greyhound, but will instead meeting at Caldecotte Arms, Bletchern Way, Caldecotte, Milton Keynes, MK7 8HP. The Caldecotte Arms the big food pub with the windmill on its roof, just off the A5 southbound, one junction before the southbound little chef roundabout. Visit an online map HERE. Wednesday 28th June, again we will not be meeting at the Greyhound, but at The Plough, Water Eaton Road, Bletchley, Milton Keynes. Visit an online map HERE. The Wednesday after that (the 5th July) we should be back at the Greyhound, and if you can't remember where that is, visit an online map HERE |

| Finally, the IOW pictures from this year are up online, and ready to be viewed! Sorry for taking my time, but what with you lot giving Mole the pictures, and him going away, I didn't know they were here! But all sorted now. Also today I've put up online pictures from the BMF this year, the BBQ at the Greyhound, and some pictures of a lady called Sue, who had always wanted to ride on the back of a bike, so (Dis)Grace obliged and took her out for a ride on his Harley. Head over to the Picture Page and view the new pictures from there. I've also added a new Jigsaw, it's a bit scary, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Head over to the Jigsaw Page to have a go at that. The flyers for the Custom Show & the GPO Rally are now up online. Message to all Club Members/Associate Members/Proposals and visitors! Wednesday 14th June we will not be meeting at the Greyhound, but will instead meeting at The Wheatsheaf in Bow Brickhill. Visit an online map HERE. That's all folks! |

| Just a quickie to say that the GPO 2006 Invite is now up online, visit it by clicking here! And if any Barrel members have any photographs from the IOW, please get them to me asap, and I'll get them up online. Zena |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Last night was not only our club AGM, but it was also our Chairman, Yogi's umpth birthday. Hope you had a good one Yogi! Jane had an amazing cake made to mark the occasion, which we all scoffed throughout the meeting, thankyou Jane! On more seriousy type matters, the committee has basically remained the same, apart from Paula adopting the role of 'Assistant Apprentice Run Captain' and Tay taking the role of 'Run Captain'. Head over to the members page to see who's who. Another change has been to make the position of Rally Sec a Committee Position rather than a Club Official. The Lee "Anthill" Slinger Memorial Cup, this cup is awarded to the person who went above and beyond at the GPO Rally, and this year it was awarded to Wurzel for his commitment and hard work at the GPO 2005. Well Done & Thankyou Wurzel! The Mick Savage Memorial Award, this award is given to the 'Clubman of the Year', and this year was awarded to Tim for all his hard work behind the scenes looking after, and the sorting of the clubs equipment in his role as Quatermaster. Thankyou Tim! Myself (Zena) and Jane were given as personal gifts from the Chairman, Yogi and ViceChair Mona, flowers and chocolates for sorting out the tickets and chalets for the Isle of Wight Rally this year. Thankyou so much, both of you! Mole will be producing minutes of the meeting, available to all Club Members, Associate Members & Proposals, as soon as his work gives him a chance! Another birthday was recently celebrated within the club, Webby's 23rd, Happy belated Birthday Webby! I've sorted through and put up 5 pages of pictures from the party at the Grebe last Saturday, click here to have a look! Also today I've added a few events to the Events page & I've updated Paul's contact details on the Custom Show Flyer, click here to view and download a printable version, and I've added a link to Wordsworth's website. We still haven't had any luck recovering Orphan Paul's or Ricardo's bikes, all the details are below, please let us know if you have any information at all about these two missing bikes. Email me at Zena@BadZena.com and I'll pass on the message. |

| Stolen Bike! On the 22nd April (2006), Orphan Paul had his yellow Triumph Daytona T595, reg number S818 RMJ, stolen from his garage on Stantonbury (not a million miles from Two Mile Ash). If you have any information etc, about this bike or Ricardo's bike (see below), please email me at Zena@BadZena.com and I'll pass on the message. Message from the Club Secretary: |

![]() | Stolen Bike from the Two Mile Ash Area Ricardo had his bike stolen last night from outside his flat, in the Two Mile Ash area. It is a CBR 600F - reg no is P691 DCH. It has a large scrape on the silver Micron exhaust. If anyone sees this or knows of anything, please email Ricardo at ricardo@btex.co.uk or contact MK police. Club Member Important News Message from the Club Secretary: Also I would like to take the chance to remind you all we have our annual AGM meeting on the 9th May. For more details contact Zena or Mole. |

![]() | Last night at our weekly club meeting we had a suprise visitor, Peanut and his guide dog, Yeoman! It was great to see them both out and visiting us for the first time, and I must say that Yeoman was amazingly well behaved amongst a crowded pub full of rowdy bikers! Welcome to the Barrel Bikers Yeoman! Club Member Important News Message from the Club Secretary: Also I would like to take the chance to remind you all we have our annual AGM meeting on the 9th May. ![]() | Pictured left is our club treasurer, formarly known as Peter, getting his name Grace, derivved from the word 'Disgrace'. On Easter Sunday Pebbles and Grace hosted an 'Easter Egg Hunt' for what seemed like all the kids in MK! Fantastic afternoon, thankyou to both of you. The few photo's that I managed to get on my phone are now up online for all to view. Bernard also visited that afternoon, and has managed to strike up a relationship (well, we call it a relationship, but knowing Bernard as soon as he has all his faculties sewn back on, it'll be wham bam thankyou mam!) with Esther the Easter Bunny. I've also added some dates and localish venues where some good bands are playing to the events pages. |

| Bernard is up to his old tricks!! A few days ago, 7th April 2006, the Daily Mirror reported on the story below: ![]() We believe that Bernard hid in the back of Mole's van and hitched a lift to and back from Northumberland. As he's now up to his old tricks again, I have locked him firmly in the boot of my car. I would like to say to the allotment owners of Felton, Northumberland, sorry, and I won't let it happen again. |

| Bernard Update!! WE HAVE OUR BERNARD BACK!! Altho we did raise well over the £100, it seems that Bernard managed to escape. I haven't had a lot of time to be able to sit and chat with him to find out the details, as he turned up at the Greyhound Pub and was waiting for us all to arrive last night, and of course being a belligerent type of bunny, he had necked a few beers! In his drunken stooper, he has babbled about selling his story as an exclusive to the Barrel Bikers 'One Pot' Magazine. I have spoken to Webby (the magazine editor) and she's willing to do a 'Bernard Special Edition of One Pot' in the near future! So, keep an eye on the site for more information on how Bernard managed to escape, and what actually happened to him, and how you can get your hands on a copy of his exclusive story! Below I've posted 3 pictures of Bernard on his return to the fold, 2 from the pub (notice the blood on his trousers, poor Bernard!), and one from a shopping spree at Tesco's to get some more beer and fags! ![]() I would like to thank EVERYONE who helped us raise enough money to help get Bernard released! |

| Bernard Update!! We recieved this Guestbook Entry of support in favour of our poor Bernard... What is your name? Gillian Thankyou to the Scottish Bunny Contingent for your support! |

| Bernard Update!! About an hour ago, I recieved notification that our GuestBook on this site had been added to. Below is what I found... What is your name? Mr P J Fletcher I thought I would leave a message here, as I believe I have something that may interest the BarrelBikers. About 2 weeks ago, my wife, Janice and I went out for a meal to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary at the Greyhound Pub in Haversham, (we had a fantastic meal, thankyou to all at the Greyhound!). Whilst waiting for our main course to arrive, both myself and my wife noticed a couple of sweet rabbits sitting in the corner, out enjoying a carrot and a drink. We both commented on how sweet they looked and I asked if they wouldn't mind me taking a photo on my phone, they agreed. Later that evening, after we had finished our meal the landlord, Stephen(?), mentioned that on a Wednesday a motorcycle club met at the pub, and that you were a great bunch of guys and gals, and suggested, if I was interested I should visit your website (I used to own an Ariel Red Hunter in my younger days!), which I did, yesterday. I was shocked to notice that some cruel person had Bunnynapped your mascot Bernard, and read with interest all your items within your news section. Then my mind went back to the night at the Greyhound pub, and remembered that I had taken the photo. I got my son to put the picture from my phone onto his computer, and we saw that next to Flopsy's Fiance was a piece of paper with something written on it. My son enhanced the photograph (very clever what can be done on a computer) and we saw what we think is 'Bunny Thief' on the corner of the paper, written just like it has been on the ransom note and other notes that have been sent to your Chairman. I am not sure what all this could mean for your Bernard, but my son has put the photograph up online so you can all have a look. Visit www.landlordsolutions.org/DCP-00054.jpg. I hope you don't mind me intruding onto your website (which is very good in my mind, and your club seems to be very active and have alot of fun. It makes me wish I was 20 years younger!). Good luck! Well, I've had a look for my self, and done a bit of my own playing with the image, and I too agree that it looks very simular to the notes that we have recieved in the past. I've copied it and tried to enhance the picture some more... |
![]() |
| Conclusive, I think. I have passed all this onto the police, and hopefully we'll hear back from them very soon. Fingers crossed we'll have our Bernard back soon! Moving on from that, today I've added our new Associate Club Members Photographs to the Members Section. I have also added the pictures from Peanut's Benefit Gig. Zena |

| Wow! What a night Saturday was! Tho, I have to admit to not remembering much! Thankyou to the Barrel members who took up the challenge and worked all night to make the party such a success! Also, thanks must go to everyone who attended the event, bought raffle tickets and made a donation, as on the night we raised a staggering £1492.22! Which brings our total up to £2204.33! Yesterday I recieved an email from Peanut: Hello all, just to let you all know me guide dog will be moving in on the 31st and then Iwe've got 4 to 6 weeks training and if all goes well, We should get our white harness and be let out to mix with the general public and of course you lot! Cheers Peanut We also believe (altho yet to be confirmed) that we have raised enough money in the Bernard fund to get him released from his bunnynappers, so keep watching for more Bernard updates. Zena |

| Bernard Update!! Yesterday, Yogi recieved another letter through the door. Inside was a note (see below) and Bernard's Gonads on a string! It was said in a previous letter that Bernard had no balls! Think in future I'm not going to announce on here how much (or little) we have so far! ![]() Other News Also, on page 2 of today's Go (found within the Citizen Newspaper) we have a nice little write up about the Benefit Gig. Hope to see you all tomorrow night! |

| Bernard Update! |
![]() |

![]() | Today is Mona's Birthday! Happy Birthday to you, squashed tomatoes and stew, bread and butter in the gutter, Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Mona! Also today I've managed to get our USB Hub working long enough to get the pictures from the Mad Hatters Anniversary Party up online. View them by clicking here. What I want to know is how 21 Barrel Members were at this party, and not a single one noticed that Bernard was there too! So far in the 'Save Bernard Fund' we have £35, just over a quarter of the way there! Keep it up guys! I really don't want to be recieving more bits of Bernard through the post! |

| Hi all! If you're reading this then we've manged to resolve our name servers and have actually moved the website successfully! Today, Thursday 09.03.06, is our very own 'Le Chef's' birthday, and last night at our weekly meeting he provided a very large spread for us all! Happy Birthday Phillippe! and thanks for the food!! Also today the Citizen has printed a very small article about our Benefit Gig next Saturday at the Cruik Barn, page 2, bottom right, 'Bikers having fun'. Bernard Update!! Today I've had a couple of communications via email and the website from one person who filled out our GPO Feedback form: What were the good points: Raise £100 or the bunny really will have no balls Last night, Yogi and Mona accused Bernard of getting a rabbit (who lives at The Greyhound Pub) pregnant and being on the run from the CSA. A little later on today I recieved notification that someone had added to our guestbook: What is your name? Bunny Lover What is the title of your website: bunnies are cool Please enter your comments? I understand one of your members has been casting aspersions about my girlfrend Flopsy. Last night at your club meeting one of your club officials picked up Flopsy and claimed she had been made pregnant by your moth eaten mascot Bernard. I'd like to point out that firstly Flopsy isn't pregnant, we are engaged to be married this easter and as we are respectable bunnies we havent done that sort of thing yet (she wont let me untill we are married). Secondly she is very sensitive about being a little overweight, and dosen't need some oaf, who keeps moaning that he smells, picking her up and saying she is pregnant. Thirdly as respectable bunnies we, and all our families and friends, would have nothing to do with a bad bunny like bernard even if he won the lottery. Fourthly I've heard bernard has no balls so how could he have got Flopsy pregnant anyway. Please stop your members distressing my Flopsy in future, or we will have to contact all our bunny friends to dig up the fields you use for your rallies. Ps for all us not seeing eye to eye with Bernard and his type i hope you can raise the money to pay his kidnappers and get him back sefely, just keep him away from Flopsy if you do. |

| Bernard Update!! I seem to be starting all my news pieces with 'This morning the postie delivered', but this morning the postie did deliver another communcation from the Bunnynappers. I'm even more worried for Bernards safety, as this time they enclosed a piece of his ear! I think they found out that we manged to raise £23 at the club on Wednesday night... Also today the postie delivered some photographs from the Firkin O Bitter, taken by someone called Tim, so Tim, whoever you are, thankyou very much! I will go through them and when the scanner decides it wants to play ball without me threatening it, I'll add some to the Firkin 2006 picture page! |
![]() |

| Bernard Update!! This morning the postie delivered a letter addressed to the 'Barrel Bikers', inside was a note, pictured below. The postmark this time, tho very faint, was 'Milton Keynes'. I think the Bunnynapper knows we only managed to raise £23 at the club last week, lets try and get to the £100 soon, I'm very worried for Bernard's safety now. |
![]() |

| Bernard Update!! I've just recieved an email from a well wishing visitor to our website: I am a bunny lover [I have an animal of my own or something that could be a bunny if his ears were longer, he is warm and cuddly [bunny type animal not husband] and I am really worried about your bunny knapped rabbit. A well wisher |

| Bernard Update!! This morning the postie delivered a letter addressed to the 'Chairman of the Barrel Bikers', inside was a note, saying 'If I get £100 or more, I will give it to the Peanut Fund'. A Bunny Thief with a heart! The strange thing is, it's post marked from Watford, so who has a grudge against Bernard in Watford? Anyway, lets see if we can raise the £100, for Bernards sake, and the Guide Dogs for the Blind! |

For those of you who don't know who Bernard the Belligerent Bunny is, I'll tell you. He first appeared in the 7th GPO Rally handout (1987), with his own 2-page comic strip (created by Roger Bradbury now of the Cernunnos Mcc). For several years he went from strength to strength, being the figurehead of the GPO Rally, and appearing in many posters and comic strips, even making public appearances at the GPO & Firkin 'O' Bitter rallies. But things took a turn for the worst, and Bernard was wanted, dead or alive (see attached poster) for the most terrible crimes against other furry creatures. Including crimes such as ABH of a fellow rabbit, stealing carrots, ABH of a cat, attempted drowning of a cat, assault with a deadly weapon, extortion, several counts of ABH of gnomes, assault of a fairy, and assault of a royal person by using foul language. In the year 2000, my first year as Rally Sec, I went to the lock up in Winslow, with Cj to sort all the stuff we needed for the GPO. We found to our very great surprise a very dirty and dishevelled looking Bernard, hiding under a pile of old cones and bird nests. We persuaded him to come home with me and I'd clean him up and keep him safe in my car. Cj & I decided that the best way to get several years of dirt off him was to put him in the washing machine. I know, not what you should do with bunnies, but it's the best solution when dealing with belligerent ones. Since that day, Bernard has been making a fresh start, and had made himself quite at home in the boot of my car, travelling and making brief appearances at both the Firkin and GPO rallies. Life was sweet…until now. After Bernard's recent trip to the Firkin 'O' Bitter 2006, he got a little wet, and as he's getting on in years, I felt sorry for him, and since he seems to have calmed down a little I allowed him to come into the house to dry off. This is where the horrible crime of kidnap has happened. The kidnappers left this note, and photograph to prove that Bernard is safe for now. Help me to raise £100 to get Bernard released, please! Zena Click Here to see Bernard before the Bunnynappers got him.
CALLING ALL BARREL MEMBERS!! Bernard the Belligerent Bunny has been bunnynapped! My house was broken into, or should I say, Phill didn't lock up properly this morning when we dashed out to the hospital, and later that afternoon when I got home, I found the back door wide open. On further investigation the only thing I can find missing is Bernard. I'm soo sorry guys, I never for one minute thought that Bernard was in any danger whilst at my house.

| Today I've updated some events, and have finally sorted the photo's that I've had (thanks to Mole & Jack!) and put them up online. Visit the gallery HERE. Don't forget the 18th MARCH we have Peanut's Benefit Gig at the Cruik Barn, Bradwell Abbey. Also the flyer for the Custom Show on 6th August has been put up online, Click Here to View. CALLING ALL BARREL MEMBERS We have our Club EGM on the 7th March, Club Members, Associate Members & Proposed Members ONLY are able to attend (no wives, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, sheep etc). Proposals & Associates are able to attend but not vote, but you can express your views to the club. For more details contact Zena or Mole. |

| Wow! Another Firkin over for another year, and what a rally it was!! My sincere thanks, as Rally Sec, goes first to all you mad sods for turning up and camping in air tempratures of -5 (ground temps they tell me got to -10!), and secondly my thanks go to all the Barrel Members who helped, in however small a way, to make the Firkin what it was. And to all you other Barrel Members who either turned up and did nothing, or didn't turn up at all (without good reason), yaboo sucks!! Oh, and just to say that from the Raffle, Tv Quiz & Crossword, we raised another £216 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind. Together with the money we raised at our Late Christmas Party, the Guide Dogs for the Blind fund now stands at £670! Not bad for only one month,eh? Thankyou all for your donations and parcipitation in helping us raise this amount. On the subject of Guide Dogs for the Blind, don't forget 18th March we have Peanut's Benefit Gig at the Cruik Barn, Bradwell Abbey. We have headlining the evening the Peartree Bridge Family, with our very own (well we have one of their number as a member of the Barrel!) Bustagut starting the evening off. So for only a fiver entry, you get 2 Live bands AND spend the evening in the Barrel's company, AND all monies raised will be going to the Guide Dogs for the Blind! Can't beat that, can you? Also we are looking into the possiblity of trying to arrange limited camping for those who want to attend by live a distance away. Keep watching this space for more details! The Firkin pictures will be up online as soon as I can get this flaming USB hub to work!! Thanks again to everyone! Zena |

| First I would like to announce the date of our next party, Peanut's Benefit Gig! This will be on the 18th March 2006, at the Cruik Barn, Bradwell Abbey, Milton Keynes. The Peartree Bridge Family will be our live band for the night, so expect a bloody loud rock and glam night! Tickets are only £5, available on the door, so come along and party for a good cause!! All proceeds will be going to the Guide Dogs for the Blind. Click Here for an invite. This weekend we have our Firkin 'O' Bitter Trad Rally. What's a Trad Rally? Trad is short for Traditional, and in this case usually means camping is behind a quiet country pub, which provides the food and the beer, and a great atmosphere for meeting old and new friends from all around. Usually there is no live music or dj's playing. Ticket sales have been going very well, but there are a very limited number of tickets left, so if you're interested contact Zena on 07803 600646 asap. For Barrel members, altho this is one of our smaller events, we still need your help! We need bodies urgently for the Friday setting up, and even more urgently all day Saturday, and fantastically more urgently on Sunday for the clear up, as we have to be clear of the site by midday. There's not alot to be done, but the more people we can get helping the easier it makes it for everyone. Oh, and if anyones got a van, we can always use van's! That's all for now, I've got a rally to organise! See you at the Firkin!! Zena xx |

| I've added the last few picture pages to the 2005 Gallery, showing our Club Christmas Meal & the New Year Party @ The Pitz. I have very few pictures for both these events, so if anyone has any, and they want to see them up online, contact Zena (Zena@BadZena.com). Also I'm after any pictures of the Barrel from events in 2006, including the Late Christmas Party (and the Mad Cow!), so again, if you have any, please contact Zena. Just a quick mention that we have our Firkin 'O' Bitter Rally coming up very soon, and we still have a few tickets left. If you're interested click the link for the invite or contact Zena (Zena@BadZena.com) for more info. |
