We want you…..

….To consider joining the Barrrel Bikers MCC!

Have you ever wanted to be part of a group of like-minded friends who ride, party and travel together?  Do you fancy being part of the driving force behind some fantastic motorcycle events?  Do you want to support local charities while having fun at the same time?

Then come along one Wednesday night to Newport Pagnell Working men’s club (28 Silver St, Newport Pagnell MK16 0EN) and get to know us all.

We are currently looking to recruit new members to join our group of fun, friendly and bonkers bikers.  Everyone welcome on any type of bike.

If you have any questions about the club email clubsecretary@barrelbikers.co.uk and we will do all we can to answer them.

Tour de Tyringham pics

For the last few years the Barrel Bikers have supported the Tour de Tyringham charity cycle event (https://bigcowsports.com/le-tour-de-tyringham/) by leading the routes and riding alongside the cyclists as marshals.

Here’s some nice pics taken by Magnolia photography (https://magnoliaphotographyy.pic-time.com/portfolio) from the 2022 & 2023 events.

What a busy year!

Apologies for the lack of updates here, it’s been a busy year!  The custom show was a success with the weather holding out and much nicer than last years extreme-scorcher!

The GPO was also a great success with unseasonally good weather (shorts in October, bonkers!) and a lot of fun had all round.

Pictures of all events are on our social media pages: https://www.facebook.com/BarrelBikers (official club page) and https://www.facebook.com/groups/56091920819 (“Friends of the Barrel Bikers” page)

Watch this space as tickets for the Firkin O’Bitter rally will go on sale soon (provisional date is the 23rd to 25th February 2024)

Custom Show 2023

The custom show is coming up soon and will be held on the 6th August at the Cruck Barn, Bradwell Abbey (MK13 9AP, what3words: majors.rainfall.trader)

Free entry and lots to enjoy for the whole family – we hope to see you there!

Recent charity work by the Barrel Bikers MCC

Our most recent charity, who we have collected for from Apr-22 to Mar-23, was the Blood bikes (www.serv-obn.org.uk).  We raised £1,669.914

At Christmas 2022 we donated to charity rather than giving each other Christmas Cards.  This was donated to Curly Tails Pig Sanctuary in Newton Longville (https://curlytails.org/)

Over the pandemic we were unable to elect a new charity annually as we usually do so continued to support our 2019 elected Charity, The Milton Keynes hospital Charity (https://www.mkhcharity.org.uk/), until Apr-22.  We raised £2,399.39 during this time.

In memory of Mole, who we lost to Covid during the pandemic, we did a midsummer run in 2022 to the Rollright stones.  Mole’s widow, Karen, chose Prostate Cancer UK as the beneficiary of the funds raised.

Attached are the lovely thank you letters we have received for these donations.
