David Cooper Memorial Run, July 2003

Page 1

This years second David Cooper Memorial Run was held on the 12th July and left from Over Whitaker near Coleshill in the Midlands.

The idea of the run is to take disabled and disadvantaged children for a day out in sidecars and trikes, the run this year took us to a Pub for lunch then on to a family farm for an afternoons fun on the various rides etc.

Moles outfits past and present, the old MZ is still going under the constant attention of Scruffy Pete, while the Beemer that replaced it has hardly missed a beat

There were outfits of all shapes and sizes

With classic bikes as well as modern

We were soon being allocated the children

While the police escort got themselves ready

The run was soon under way, with my son James riding shotgun in Tony's Reliant
The convoy from the rear, taken through the reliant's windscreen, hence the plastic pig

After a ride around the lanes, and running into a classic car cavalcade we got to the Pub for lunch

My charge Ian wanted to sit on the bike

There was an amazing selection of outfits this year

Lunchtime, and James lent Ian his precious Gameboy

But Food for the riders and children was the main interest
