David Cooper Memorial Run July 2002

Page 2

The first part of the run took us to Shackerstone station for a ride on the Battlefield railway line

The outfits parked up in every available space

Tom borrowed my old Camo hat

While another famous Thomas was pulling the train

Toms smile as the train chuffed along said it all

While Elsie, the driving force behind the David Cooper Memorial Run kept us all in order

Tom got a cuddle from his favourite marshal

And they used to moan about the smoke from my old MZ outfit

Tom was a bit of a handful at times

He showed an interest in everything

While some of the Barrel took a rest

Tom started to get a bit bored

Then they started train races

My sprog James, and most of the other kids got to wave the flag to start the races

At last we got the train back. My sidecar fitting and seat re-covering expert Tony was wondering if it was a good idea to buy Tom a mouth organ, then travel back in the same carrage with us
