Page 1

On 13th July 2002 the second David Cooper Memorial run of the year took a group of autistic children from Over Whitacre school near Coleshill to Shackerstone station for a trip on a train then on to a Broomey animal farm for lunch and a chance to feed some animals and look around the farm. This time the Barrel made it a Club run.

The children started to arrive early

Bikes of all sizes turned up to marshall, from mopeds & step thru's

To Harleys

The Sidecars and Trikes filled the field

Classic outfits alongside the modern

Barrel chairman John had travelled up with me (Mole) the night before

While a harrased Jude turned up late having run out of petrol (It was Tay's fault apparently, he hadn't filled it up for her).

My passenger was Thomas, his mum handed him over with a few instructions

My son James helped him settle in though

He was soon happy and wanted to go straight away

Even the local Mayor came to see us off
