AGM News

On Wednesday we had our usual annual general meeting, where we elect the club officials to steer the club for the next year. We also take the opportunity to award trophies to club members who we feel have made a real contribution to the club:

The committee’s choice award in remembrance of fallen friends was awarded to JP for his consistent attendance and hard work at all club events:

The Lee Slinger memorial award for work at the GPO was awarded by Graz to Wendy for her consistent hard work. He spoke about how she is always there at events helping from the very beginning to the very end:

The Mick Savage award for club person of the year is awarded by club vote. This year it was awarded to CJ for supporting Tim behind the scenes and working hard in the background at all events:

The Young Alex memorial award for outstanding work in catering was awarded by Nicola to Rendal as he both worked the tea hut a lot and turned up at the end of the shifts to help with the clean-up and washing up which was much appreciated:

Finally Jet was awarded her 5 year patch:

Sunday Day Out

Since the weather was nice, we took a run out today to Stow-On-The-Wold, a small town in the Cotswolds. DM, our run captain organised a great trip through the English countryside. We, of course, had cream teas and ice cream and a great time:

On Sunday we had a stand at the MK Bike Show at the football stadium, here in MK. We met many friends, both old and new at the show; it was great to see you all and a very successful show we think.
